After graduation, she joined Young & Rubicam, an advertising agency in Frankfurt, and then works in Dresdner Bank in London.

Her father died in 1982 and she owns a share of 50.1 % stake in the pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturer Altana and turned into the world’s top-class chemical industry.

Susanne sold a share of Altana in the year 2006 to a Swiss company, Nycomed for €4.5 billion and money divided among stakeholders as compensation.
