Britt Ahart, a former accountant who now specializes in outdoor survival, was born in 1976 (according to History) and raised in the Virginia suburbs just outside of Washington, DC. Although he was an accountant prior to joining the Alone cast, he stated that he has always had a fascination for primitive life and outdoor abilities. As a result, he chose to put himself to the test in the wild and join the cast.
He moved to the isolated farms and forests of Ohio after spending 30 years as an accountant in Virginia. There, he started a family and pursued his research into bushcraft and practical primitive living.
The former boy scout enjoys spending his time learning additional wilderness survival techniques. He now resides with his family and son Campbell, age 6. He said that having a place to stay, making fire, and eating well and staying hydrated are all necessary for survival.
The former FedEx accounting staffer finished second in the fifth season of Alone, where he was abandoned in the remote Mongolian wilderness for months and had to rely on his wits and survival abilities.

Ahart, a 46-year-old Mantuan accountant, resides with his wife Laura, kid, and family. His wife, a Crestwood alumna, resides with the family in the community of Mantua in Portage County, Ohio.
Britt relocated to the country in Ohio after getting married and meeting Laura while he was in his 30s. After spending time in boys scouts, Britt realized that hiking and camping were more to his liking than collecting merit badges.
