Tia Mowry shares what led to her divorce from Cory Hardrict



Tia Mowry says she knew exactly when she wanted to end her 14-year marriage to Cory Hardrict.

“I knew when I really started focusing on my happiness,” Sister, Sister graduate, 44, – he said on the program “Today”. Wednesday.

“I feel like women, we tend to focus on the happiness of others, making sure everyone else is doing well – that is, our children, our friends, our family – but at the end of the day, it’s all about self-love.”

Mowry, a mother of two, added: “When you start really working on yourself, loving yourself, knowing your worth and knowing your worth, suddenly there is an awakening.”

She then concluded: “And it’s not easy. It’s a tough journey, but at the end of the day I feel it’s worth it,” before the audience gave her a thunderous applause.

Mowry confessed that going to therapy and experiencing the loss of loved ones also helped her make the decision.

“It all together gave me that ‘aha’ moment,” she said.

Despite Mowry calling the breakup with 43-year-old Hardrict, she said she still considers the relationship a “success” and sees the breakup as a “celebration”.

“I look at it as a curriculum,” explained the host of Comfort Kitchen. “You learn, you grow, you evolve, you create, and I’ve been able to create some beautiful, amazing children with Cory.”

She added: “It’s not about sticking with something because as long as you’re in that situation, that’s tantamount to success. The point is, again, are you happy? Because life is really short.”

In October, Mowry announced via Instagram that she and Hardrict had decided to go their separate ways.

“These decisions are never easy and they are not without sadness,” the Family Reunion alumna wrote in a photo of herself and the All American: Homecoming actor.

She continued, “I’m grateful for all the happy times we’ve had together and I want to thank my friends, family and fans for your love and support as we start a new chapter in our lives.”

According to court documents previously obtained by Page Six, Mowry cited irreconcilable differences in the divorce petition and asked the judge for joint physical and legal custody of their son and daughter.

Mowry and Hardrict married in 2008 and have an 11-year-old son, Cree, and a 4-year-old daughter, Cairo.

After news of the divorce broke, Hardrict took to social media to deny allegations of infidelity.

The “Oath” actor simply replied with “lies” under the comment of a fan who accused him of cheating on his wife.
