Machine Gun Kelly Criticizes Haters In AMA Speech: “I’m A Rocketman


Machine Gun Kelly has some clear words for his haters – and apparently smashed his microphone to prove it at the 2022 American Music Awards.

The 32-year-old rapper turned rocker addressed those who disapproved of his stylistic changes as he accepted his favorite rock artist award Sunday night.

“Just wanted to say that I’m petitioning for bigger mic stands next time,” said the 6’4″ performer. “Peeing in that suit is really uncomfortable,” he added of his spiky purple suitwho appears to be poking Lionel Richie in the face as they sit side by side in the audience.

“There were a few people in the rock community who called me a tourist, but they were wrong. I’m a rocket ship,” he said.

Kelly’s last two albums, 2020’s “Tickets To My Downfall” and this year’s “Mainstream Sellout”, marked a marked departure from his previous rap career. some critical fans and industry members they equally called him a salesman.
