Is Christian Bale in Star Wars? After DC and MCU, the actor wants to explore the galaxy far, far away

Christian Bale, a famous Hollywood actor, has expressed a strong desire to appear in a cameo role in one of the upcoming “Star Wars” movies. According to aceshowbiz.com, the 48-year-old actor, who has been dying to appear in the franchise for a number of years, would be content to simply play a masked stormtrooper with no lines. As a result, he would describe himself as extremely “lucky” if offered a role in the film world that was “more than that.”

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, he explained, “All I ever wanted to do in ‘Star Wars’ was be in a ‘Star Wars’ uniform and bang my head on a door or something as I walked through .”

“Only real nerds who have watched “Star Wars” absurdly many times would know the scene in which the Stormtrooper bangs his head on the door as he enters. I aspired to be that person. That was the end of the exercise. But look, if I’m lucky enough to be more than that, then man, oh man, absolutely. That sounds like such a treat. I still have the characters I played with as a kid.”

The actor who plays him in ‘Amsterdam’ is confident he has the connections to one day land his ideal role. He also said, “I also know Kathy Kennedy very well because she worked with Spielberg when I made Empire of the Sun, and now she controls the Star Wars world.”

After collaborating on The Dark Knight trilogy and The Prestige, it’s been more than a decade since Christian Bale and Christopher Nolan have collaborated on a project. Bale explained that he would jump at the opportunity to work with the “extraordinary” director on another project should the opportunity arise.

He expressed his desire to work with Chris again by saying, “I’d love to do that.” He’s an incredible director and the time I worked with him was one of the highlights of my career. So likewise. I have the same feelings.”

Career

A child prodigy, he made his film debut in a 1982 commercial for fabric softener Lenor. After that there was no turning back as he was inundated with orders.

In 1984 he made his formal debut on stage opposite Rowan Atkinson in the play The Nerd. Two years later he made his big screen debut in the role of Tsarevich Alexei Nikolaevich in the film Anastasia: The Mystery of Anna.

A few more appearances followed before he made his breakthrough in the 1987 Steven Spielberg film Empire of the Sun.

The film was a smashing success at the box office and received several awards for its perfect portrayal of the character of Jim Graham.

Overnight fame and people’s rising expectations backfired as he found it difficult to adjust to newfound fame and star status. He soon calmed his nerves, however, and starred in Kenneth Branagh’s Henry V in 1989.

The following year he was cast as Jim Hawkins in the television adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic book Treasure Island. He played alongside Charlton Heston.

The decade of 1990 had many release schedules for him. While “Newsies” was bombing at the box office, he played a supporting role in the film adaptation of the classic “Little Women.” His other film credits include The Portrait of a Lady and Velvet Goldmine.

In 1994, he played a speaking role for Thomas, a young compatriot of Captain John Smith, in Disney’s Pocahontas. In 1999 he was part of a huge all-star cast for Kenneth Branagh’s updated version of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

With the 2000 film “American Psycho” he made his dream run at the box office in the new millennium. Cast for the character of Patrick Bateman, he delivered a heroic performance in which he completely transformed to meet the character’s requirements. The film achieved cult status.

His versatile acting skills and endless talent caught the attention of directors, who cast him in various roles after the smash hit American Psycho. He first starred as a Greek fisherman in the John Madden adaptation of Captain Corelli’s best-selling book, The Mandolin.

His streak of success at the box office practically ended in 2002 after his three films released that year failed to make the box office, namely Laurel Canyon, Reign of Fire and Equilibrium.

The duds drove him on a year-long sabbatical from films. He returned with a bang with Brad Anderson’s psychological thriller The Machinist.

He played the character of Trevor Reznik and went deep into him, losing 60 pounds to bring authenticity and realism to his portrayal. This film also achieved cult status.

He then took on a speaking role in Hayao Miyazaki’s Spirited Away for the title character Howl. The film was extremely well received by critics and audiences and did amazing business at the box office.

He’s barely won the title role of Batman and his alter ego Bruce Wayne in Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins. The film, unlike its predecessors in this category, was a massive success with packed cinemas around the world.

His portrayal of the role with absolute perfection earned him several awards.

After the success of Batman Begins, he returned to appearing in independent films. From 2006 to 2008 he starred in a number of films including Harsh Times, The New World, Rescue Dawn, In The Prestige, I’m Not There and Terminator Salvation.

Batman Begins was followed by a 2008 sequel, The Dark Knight, which was an even bigger box office hit than its predecessor. The film grossed over $1 billion at the worldwide box office, making it the fourth highest-grossing film of the period.

In 2010, he won 30 awards, including his first Golden Globe and Oscar for his role as Dicky Eklund in the David O. Russell-directed drama The Fighter.

In 2011, he played the role of John Miller in Zhang Yimou’s The Flowers of War. As a historical war drama, the film did an average job at the box office.

The third film in the Batman trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises, sold out in 2012. This made him the longest-lived actor to portray Batman on film

His planned releases for 2013 and 2014 include Out of the Furnace, American Hustle, Exodus, Knight of Cups and an untitled film directed by Terrence Malick.

main works

The Batman franchise is his magnum opus in his long list of filmography. Each of the films in the trilogy was a smash hit and a huge hit both in the US and abroad. While the first film grossed $370 million worldwide, the second in the series grossed more than $1000 million and set three new US box office records.

The third film was also very successful and brought in around 1084 million US dollars at the box office.
