The professional American footballer Geno Hayes and former player of NFL passed away on 26 April 2021 due to liver disease. Geno was one of the successful and most skilled players but he left behind us while fighting with the disease. He gained many fans with his good game. All his fans, friends, and relatives are deeply in sorrow and paying tribute after his death by posting pictures on social media. He was playing football since during his college times.

Geno Hayes was born on August 10, 1987, in Greenville, Florida.  He was a 33-year-old man who played football in the position of a linebacker in the NFL team. He plays several matches. Hayes married his wife named Shevelle and they have two children named Gemarii 13 years, and Skyler 8 years old. For the past two years, he was suffering from chronic liver disease. He waited for a liver transplant at the Mayo Clinic and Northwestern Medicine and went more than 20 times last year. He went under hospice care at his parent’s home in Valdosta, Georgia until his last breath.

In an interview, he told to EPSN that firstly he was diagnosed with alcoholic cirrhosis but later after deep digging and thinking about his drinking habits he found that he was not a habitual drinker he usually likes to drink some wine and other drinks. And have family liver issues problems. During her matches, he used to take self-medication while pain and injuries.  Instead of taking the hard pain killers, he took over-the-counter pain medicine like Tylenol and ibuprofen. It has been reported that taking too much Tylenol can cause liver damage because of acetaminophen. This later diagnosed with liver disease.

He was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the sixth round of the 2008 NFL Draft. Hayes played for the Bucs from 2008 to 2011, the Bears in 2012, and Jaguars from 2013 to 2014 in the NFL.

Hayes made 70 starts during his NFL career, totaling 401 tackles, 10 sacks, 6 interceptions, and 6 forced fumbles.
