Evelyn was born in Madison County on March 3, 1924, to John Russell Pring and Velma Jane Pate Pring. She was a scornful Cadiz High School graduate and the only surviving member of her graduating class.
Soon after graduating from high school, Evelyn started a long career with Delco Remi at Anderson. Reid, his wife, was the bus driver who took him to work every day.
She was one of Highland High School’s early basketball season ticket holders. She enjoyed sporting a pleasant plaid outfit and mingling with her friends during Friday night games. After the death of her husband, Reid, Evelyn is reunited with her former Cadiz High School classmate, James Marvin Addison. They married in 1983 and ventured on an experience that brought them from Cadiz to Florida and back before Jim died.
