Craig David reveals he has been celibate for two years

Craig David claimed that celibacy helped him usher in a new era of creativity.

The 42-year-old “7 Days” singer appeared on Friday’s episode of “TMZ Podcast” in which he revealed that he had been celibate for the past two years, which helped him reach his creative peak as an artist.

“When I recorded my first album, Born to Do It, I was 17 years old. So these were all aspirations,” he said.

David said he decided to “park” his sexual appetite because he wanted to discover what his life would be like without the added pressure of being physical with any partner.

Although the British singer confessed that he did not want to consider celibacy due to his professional status, it was a bonus for him.

“In a funny way, even though I thought, ‘Wow,’ for a moment, I just felt like creativity was at its peak, at its max, in those two years,” he explained.
