Christine Quinn’s husband accused of child abuse and assault



Christine Quinn’s estranged husband, Christian Richard Dumontet, has been formally charged with three misdemeanors in connection with a domestic violence incident that occurred in March.

Law enforcement officers he told TMZ On Wednesday, Dumontet was charged with child abuse, assault and violating a protection order.

Quinn’s attorney, Jacqueline Sparagna, told Page Six on Wednesday that they were “extremely pleased” with the decision by the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office.

“He has now been formally charged with child abuse of his 2-year-old child, assault on Christine Quinn and violating a restraining order,” Sparagna said in a statement.

“We believe this achievement represents a key step towards protecting the legal and personal interests of both victims and trust that the case will continue to be treated with the utmost seriousness it deserves.”

Dumontet was arrested on March 19 after he allegedly threw a bag of glass at the 35-year-old “Selling Sunset” star. Quinn, however, claimed the bag passed her and hit their 2-year-old son, whom she has since sought full custody of. .

The software engineer was arrested a second time just 33 hours later after returning home – even though Quinn had filed an emergency arrest warrant against him.

In the restraining order, Quinn alleged that her estranged husband suffered from serious mental problems, including bipolar disorder, mania and schizophrenia.

Before their feud, the former reality star said she had expressed her “dissatisfaction” with their relationship.

He then began shouting at her and throwing objects – including “heavy flower arrangements” – throughout the house.

“I narrowly missed being hit by one of the metal bars, but I was hit by one of the boxes he threw,” she said.

“He then opened a can of Red Bull and threw it across the room as well, making a bigger mess… and a moment later he came back and threw dog feces at me that he had pulled out of the garbage.”

Quinn also alleged that Dumontet “pulled out his penis and began urinating on the floor.”

Quinn claimed that during the ordeal she hid with her son in the master bathroom and became “scared” for their safety.

The next day, Quinn was cleaning the house when she and Dumontet started arguing again.

“While I was working, I heard and felt a gust of air from an object rushing towards me and our son. “The next moment I heard a sound that sounded like glass breaking,” she said.

Quinn claimed she “saw broken glass in our son’s hair and on the floor”, adding: “After a few seconds our son burst into tears and started screaming. I was concerned about his health and safety.”

Dumontet went to court and filed for divorce on April 5 – less than two weeks after the incident.
