Alexander’s sentence was announced a day later Kevin Federlinewho was married to Britney from 2004 to 2007, posted old videos on Instagram showing the singer arguing with their sons, Shawnnow 16, and Jadennow 15. He captioned the since-deleted clips: “I can’t sit back and let my sons be blamed like this after what they’ve been through. As much as it hurts us, we decided as a family to publish these videos.”

Britney’s lawyer condemned the publication, saying: “Whether he realizes it or not, Mr. Federline has not only violated the privacy and dignity of the mother of his children, he has undermined his own children, whose privacy he is supposed to protect.” The lawyer also said that Federline’s “reckless decision to release an old video of his 11- and 12-year-old children was cruel, zero.”

Federline’s post followed an online war of words between him and Britney, which was sparked by a rare TV interview with ITV in which he revealed that Sean and Jaden had decided not to see her. About the interview, Britney wrote on Instagram: “I am saddened to hear that my ex-husband has decided to discuss the relationship between me and my children.”

During the conversation with the interviewer, Federline also said that the boys “made a decision not to go” to their mother’s wedding.

Alexander was arrested and charged with trespassing, battery and vandalism just hours before Britney married Asghari. Alexander, who was found not guilty of the latest charge, filmed himself on Instagram Live without being invited to what he called a “bull wedding”.

“I’m her first husband,” Jason was heard telling a staff member, according to fan footage on screen. “I’m here to crash the wedding because there’s no one here but Sam. Where is the family here?”

Following the incident at the wedding, which was also not attended by other members of Britney’s family, the singer’s lawyer told E! News that he “looks forward to working closely with law enforcement to ensure he is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” adding that he is “outraged by this intrusion.” A source close to Sam told E! News that Britney was “a little upset after the incident that happened,” noting that she wanted everything to be “like a fairy tale” on her big day.

E! News reached out to Jason for comment at the time, but did not hear back. He does not have a registered lawyer to act on his behalf.
